Chinese New Year Menu

For this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations, we have adorned the ceiling of our restaurant with red lanterns, created a festive set menu, and are giving over 3,000 Kym’s fortune cookies to our guests!

Symbolising harmony, happiness, vitality and wealth, red lanterns are believed to be auspicious and are displayed on important events throughout China such as The Lantern Festival & Chinese New Year.

To ring in the new year, our exclusive Chinese New Year five-course feast includes dishes like Prosperity Salad, Black Truffled Pumpkin with Salted Egg Emulsion, Fuji Apple with Orange Sorbet, and of course, our signature Three Treasure trio of roasted meats.

While stocks last, our team will be handing out over 3,000 Kym’s fortune cookies to all our guests throughout the celebrations, filled with exclusive prizes and offers, including complimentary bottles of wine, free desserts and discounts on our recently launched Saturday Lobster Brunch.

The Chinese New Year Menu is available for £45 per person for tables of 2 – 8 guests. It is available for lunch and dinner every day apart from Saturday lunch where we run our Lobster Brunch menu.

Andrew
Wong

Born in London to Chinese parents, Chef Andrew Wong was immersed in restaurants from an early age. In the 80s, Andrew’s family opened a Cantonese restaurant in Pimlico: ‘Kym’s’, named after his grandmother. This original site is now the location of Andrew’s Michelin starred restaurant ‘A. Wong’.

Having initially studied chemistry at Oxford University followed by anthropology at the London School of Economics, Andrew’s father passed away and he turned his attention towards supporting the family business.

Andrew enrolled in culinary school, specialising in classical French cookery and culinary science. In 2010, he embarked on a working tour of China to fine tune his skills in the art of Chinese roasting, to master the ancient technique of Peking duck and to learn the craft of the famous Cantonese dim sum.

Andrew now launches his second restaurant ‘Kym’s’ at Bloomberg Arcade in honour of his family and the original restaurant.
